In the fourth quarter of 2020, the fitness and weight loss app category saw a diverse range of performances on the Android platform in Australia. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, peaking at nearly 6.3K in the last week of December. Weekly active users started at roughly 47K and saw a dip in November, only to rebound to over 43K by the year's end. Revenue for the app exhibited stability, remaining in the low 20K range throughout the quarter.

Fitbit showed an impressive climb in revenue, jumping from approximately 13K to over 26K in the final week of December. Downloads saw a massive spike in the third week of December, reaching nearly 23K. Active users also rose, from about 144K at the beginning of the quarter to surpassing 153K at its close.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike ended the quarter on a high note, with revenue increasing from around 12K to nearly 16K. Downloads peaked mid-October at over 5.2K but saw a significant rise to 4.2K in the final week. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, growing from approximately 88K to almost 99K by the end of December.

Centr: Personal Training App displayed a varied revenue pattern, with a notable jump to around 6.3K in early December. Downloads remained relatively low compared to other apps but saw an increase to over 3.6K in the last week. Active users demonstrated growth from around 16K to over 20K by the quarter's end.

Fastic: Fasting & Food Tracker had a modest revenue trend, with a slight increase to approximately 4.6K in the final week. Downloads, however, surged to nearly 4.9K in the same period. Active users showed a steady increase, concluding the quarter at over 13K.
